An NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is made up of a number of different units. Each Unit focuses on one part of your employee's job i.e. taking payment, dealing with emails, solving customer problems.
For each unit the learner needs to prove that they know what to do, they are competent in doing it and that they understand why they are required to do it. Some of this they will already be able to demonstrate and they can provide evidence of their competency. Other areas will require learning to take place first. This is normally done through on line learning followed by individual coaching with their assessor.
